The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Systems Analyst 1 for a short-term contract engagement in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid (on-site/telework) position requiring candidates who already reside in the Austin area. The engagement runs from approximately July 6, 2026 through August 31, 2026, not to exceed 528 hours, with potential for extension into FY27. The Systems Analyst will understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analyses. They will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems, including conferring with personnel across organizational units to understand current operations, identify issues, and gather input/output requirements. The role involves writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and development steps, as well as reviewing system capabilities and scheduling limitations to assess feasibility of requested changes.
